I am new on this forum, I can see that there is a lot of specialist regarding the CVT gearbox.

Is it possible to retain the security code for accessing 02 in a audi a4 b8 CVT?

I need to do a hard reset on the TCU. It has been changed to a used one.

Hi and Welcome to our Board.

Since introduction of the 0AW-Gearbox the TCU is furnished with component protection. A hard reset is not possible with usual equipment like VCDS. As per my knowledge, you need to be connected to Audi´s database. There might be a workaround with reading out the old TCU and flashing the new one with that code. But this requires also specific equipment. You need to contact your local Audi service. If they are not able to do so, you can contact [External Link Removed for Guests] company.

Well they can help me, they just need a read out from the the TCU.

Furthermore I can't activate "single gear" indicator. It is saying "channel not available"
